Said it before, and I’ll say it again: Self-running video and self-running audio are rude, they’re obnoxious, and they ultimately will cost you customers.
I just ran across a self-running audio that I could not even turn off! I was interested in the product. I wanted to read the sales page. Instead, I just closed the tab.
The way I figure it, besides the annoyance of a blaring sales pitch yammering while I’m trying to evaluate a potential purchase, there is this. Such dominating disregard for the time and preferences of the potential customer do not bode well for customer service.
In other words, if the seller is this rude before I buy, how honest are they, and how rude or hard to deal with will they be after I buy?
There are too many other sellers and products out there. Why suffer abuse?
Buy somewhere else instead. I do.
